An African tribesman, tortured and left for dead, becomes part messianic figure – part vampire, as he leverages a massive outbreak of Ebola in an attempt to end 50 years of civil war in South Sudan – a dirt-poor country besieged by violence, rape, and murder – and transform mankind.

Chilling.
As much as I am excited for the sequels Steve has coming up like the Loch and Meg: Purgatory, this was a great read as its an entirely new story. Especially with what’s going on in the world right now. Steve set up to be what could be a cool conclusion to what has been started so far. Its a little hard to see where this will go but my guess is that as the country’s civil war worsens as Chol Muong will get captured by the U.S. some how since in the beginning he is in being held by the Department of Defense while they do tests on him. I’m guessing the department of Defense is doing the tests to see if they find a cure for Ebola and other diseases. I think that Yan Tut Tek will make the civil war in South Sudan so bad that Erin Driscoll realizes that the only way to stop the Ebola outbreak is to somehow free Chol Muong so he can face Yan Tut Tek for a showdown that will result in Tan Tut Tek being taken out and the Civil War will end. I am guessing that Erin Driscoll will die at some point because of the dream she had where she was hanging out with relatives that have passed away. I feel like Alec Deng my have a bigger role in this as when Erin Driscoll is attacked she claims that Erin imagined the whole encounter and is the biggest one to say Chol Muong is a myth. I feel like Neale Manly will not only survive but will be cured of his ALS as well with the help of Chol Muong. Can’t wait to see what Steve ends up doing with this story but it was cool to get to read this version of it now.
Interesting especially with today’s current Coronavirus outbreak. Looking forward to another great one
